From the Earth, For Your Home

Every piece begins as raw clay and ends as a durable artifact of the studio process. We believe in slow production, sustainable reclaiming of materials, and the beauty of slight imperfection.

Centered in Clay

Clay & Ember was born from a desire to reconnect with the physical world. In an era of mass production, we choose to leave the fingerprints of the maker on every vessel.

Our studio is located in the heart of the Arts District, where we throw, trim, glaze, and fire every piece by hand. It's a slow process, often taking weeks to complete a single batch, but the result is a collection of objects with soul.

Hand-Thrown

No molds, no slip-casting. Every piece is thrown on the wheel, trimmed by hand, and individually glazed. Slight variations in form are celebrated as evidence of the hand.

Sustainable

We recycle 100% of our clay scraps to create new clay bodies. Our kilns are energy-efficient, and we ship using only recyclable, plastic-free materials.

Custom Work

Bespoke Heirlooms

We accept a limited number of commissions each quarter for wedding registries, restaurant tableware, and custom home sets. Please allow 6-8 weeks for production.

Shipping & Breakage

We pack every order with extreme care using recyclable materials. However, ceramics are fragile. If your item arrives broken, please email a photo of the item and the box to hello@clayandember.com within 24 hours of delivery, and we will issue a replacement or refund.

Care Instructions

All our ceramics are fired to stoneware temperatures and are microwave and dishwasher safe. However, to prolong the life of the glaze and prevent thermal shock, hand washing is recommended. Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., from freezer to oven).

Returns

Due to the small-batch nature of our work, all sales are final. We do our best to photograph glazes accurately, but slight variations are part of the handmade process.
